Active interest at the RAS Spengler Day

On March 2nd, RAS Maschinenbau GmbH in cooperation with Baumetall magazine invited to a Spengler Day in Sindelfingen.

Willy Stahl (Managing Director of RAS Maschinenbau GmbH) guided the approximately 20 interested participants through the RAS assembly plant in Sindelfingen after a short welcome.

Afterwards Markus Tschanter, CEO of Microsea, presented their machine control program Bendex. On the one hand, Bendex is used to control the RAS machines, and on the other hand, the software can represent everything that is necessary in sheet metal processing, from planning to store systems. For example, it can be used to record the measurement of sheet metal parts on the construction site and send the data directly to production. This means the shortest possible production and delivery times.

This scenario was then impressively simulated directly at the RAS XL center standing ready. For this purpose, the design data was read into the machine via QR code. Bendex automatically calculates all possible bending sequences. The operator only has to select the best bending sequence, load the appropriate sheet and start the machine. The XL-Center produces the entered profile fully automatically with highest precision.

Finally, many questions regarding the increase of efficiency in sheet metal forming operations by using the Bendex software in combination with RAS bending machines were clarified. Thus, the participants were able to take many new insights home with them.
